simple, we are all british. like a person from new york is american a person from england is british. the european union thing is just a formality, just so the slavic peoples can migrate to britain.
England is indeed a country Britain is a nation - hence my nationality is Great Britain is made up of England, Scotland and Wales. The United Kingdom (i.e. UK) is made of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. On my passport, for example, it says "European Union - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" Confused? So are we.
