Though it'll never happen, the UK should send Madonna as a UK participant in the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST. If the East can use it's celebrities to win the contest, why not the West and the UK? Madonna would be too good for Eurovision, and if she were to even participate, it's a given that EVERYONE starts crying foul because Madonna is a international megastar and her status would win it the contest. But, it's a CONTEST!!! One does what it can to win.

If you remove every Eastern European country, or even just every ex-Soviet nation, the results barely change. Greece would have got first instead of third, but Britain would still have been well down. Russia's entry was cheesy, but this is guilty of a worse Eurovision crime - it's incredibly bland.

I think we are one of the only countries that vote with our hearts and not the fact that we like the country next door!!

frna14 | December 02nd, 2008 @11:23:28

zimgo | December 02nd, 2008 @02:43:50

Downing125 | December 02nd, 2008 @04:45:50

Yup, this show isnt about the songs anymore, but the diplomatic statuses. Since we only have ireland next to us, no one really votes for us.
